The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2024 examination schedule. This exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for the following categories:
- Award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and appointment as Assistant Professor
- Appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.
- Admission to Ph.D. only

CSIR-UGC NET December 2024 Exam Schedule Admit Card & City Intimation Slip

CSIR-UGC NET December 2024 Exam Schedule Exam Pattern & Important Instructions
1. Mode of Examination
The Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2024 will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across multiple centers in India.
2. Question Paper Pattern
- The test will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- There will be three parts (Part A, Part B, and Part C) in each subject.
- Negative marking may apply for incorrect answers, as per the official CSIR NET guidelines.
3. Exam Day Guidelines
- Candidates must report to the examination center at least 90 minutes before the exam starts.
- It is mandatory to carry the admit card and a valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, etc.).
- Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
- Candidates must follow the COVID-19 safety protocols if applicable at the time of the exam.

Candidates who have successfully registered for Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2024 must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria, including:
- Educational Qualification: Master’s degree or equivalent in the concerned subject with the required percentage.
- Age Limit:
- For JRF, the upper age limit is 28 years (relaxation applicable for reserved categories).
- There is no upper age limit for Assistant Professor eligibility.
