The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially declared the final result for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2024. The examination process began with the release of the official notification on April 8, 2024, on the Commission’s website.

- Tier-I Examination: Conducted from July 1, 2024, to July 11, 2024.
- Tier-I Result Declaration: Announced on September 6, 2024, shortlisting 39,835 candidates for Tier-II.
- Tier-II Examination: Conducted on November 18, 2024.
- Option-cum-Preference Submission: From February 4, 2025, to February 10, 2025, online submissions were accepted from candidates who appeared in Tier-II. A total of 27,092 candidates submitted their preferences.
SSC Final Result Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2024 Qualifying Criteria for Tier-II Examination
- As per the examination guidelines, Section-III, Module-I (Computer Knowledge Test – CKT) and Module-II (Data Entry Speed Test – DEST)/Typing Test were qualifying in nature.
- Minimum qualifying marks in Section-I, Section-II & Module-I of Section-III of Tier-II Examination:
- UR (General Category): 30%
- OBC/EWS: 25%
- All Other Categories: 20%
SSC Final Result Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2024 Cut-Off Marks and Evaluation Process
The merit list was prepared based on scores obtained in Section-I & Section-II of Tier-II, subject to qualifying Section-III (both modules). The Commission fixed category-wise cut-off marks as follows:
Cut-Off Marks for Module-I (Computer Knowledge Test – CKT)
- Maximum Marks: 45
- Category-wise cut-off:
- UR: 13.5
- OBC/EWS: 11.25
- SC/ST/ESM/OH/HH/VH/PWD Others: 9
Cut-Off for Typing Test (Module-II) for LDC/JSA/JPA Posts
- UR: 7% (maximum allowable percentage of mistakes)
- All Other Categories: 10%
Cut-Off for DEST (Data Entry Speed Test) for DEO Grade ‘A’ Posts
- UR: 5% (maximum allowable percentage of mistakes)
- All Other Categories: 7%
SSC Final Result Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria
In case of a tie in Tier-II scores, the following criteria were applied sequentially:
- Higher marks in Section-I of Tier-II Examination.
- Higher marks in Section-II of Tier-II Examination.
- Older candidates were given preference based on date of birth.
Final Selection and Allocation of Posts
- Post allocation was based on the merit-cum-preference of candidates.
- The final merit list considered Tier-II performance only.
- 3421 candidates were provisionally selected for appointment, subject to document verification.
- 16 vacancies for LDC/JSA in the Ministry of External Affairs (Post Code L19) were withdrawn, and hence, these positions were not considered.

The selected candidates have been allocated various government departments across ministries such as:
- Ministry of Home Affairs (Intelligence Bureau, National Investigation Agency, Narcotics Control Bureau, etc.)
- Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue, Controller General of Accounts, etc.)
- Ministry of Defence (Indian Coast Guard, Border Roads Organisation, etc.)
- Ministry of Electronics and IT (National Informatics Centre)
- Election Commission of India
- National Commission for Scheduled Tribes & Scheduled Castes
- Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)

- 24 candidates’ results have been withheld due to pending clarifications.
- 12 candidates’ results have been cancelled by the Commission.
- 61 candidates were debarred for various reasons and were not considered in the final selection.
SSC Final Result Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2024 Next Steps: Document Verification & Appointment
- The document verification and appointment formalities will be conducted by the respective allocated departments.
- Candidates must communicate with their allocated department if they do not receive any correspondence within six months from the result declaration date.
- The Commission will not entertain queries regarding document verification and appointment.
- No Reserve List or Waiting List will be prepared.
- Unfilled vacancies due to non-joining candidates will be carried forward to future recruitments.
SSC Final Result Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2024 Final Answer Keys and Detailed Marks
- Candidates’ detailed marks and final answer keys will be uploaded on the Commission’s website soon.
- Any representations regarding Answer Keys have been thoroughly reviewed, and necessary modifications have been made before result declaration.
This result marks the completion of the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (CHSLE) 2024 process. Selected candidates are advised to remain in contact with their respective departments for further updates regarding their appointment.
