The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially declared the final result for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical) Examination, 2024. The results are based on the combined performance in Paper-I and Paper-II, followed by the preference of posts and departments provided by the candidates.
SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Final Result 2024 Key Dates and Process Overview:
- Paper-I Result Declaration: 20th August 2024
- Paper-II (Computer-Based Exam): Conducted on 6th November 2024
- Option-Cum-Preference Submission: 9th December to 13th December 2024
SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Final Result 2024 Evaluation Process:
- Candidates’ representations regarding the tentative Answer Keys for Paper-II were carefully reviewed, and necessary modifications were made before finalizing the keys.
- Marks from both Paper-I and Paper-II were considered for the final merit list.
- The normalization of scores was applied as per SSC guidelines, especially for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering disciplines due to different question papers and difficulty levels.

- Military Engineering Services (UR): 389.04 marks (Paper-II: 256)
- Central Water Commission (UR): 388.48 marks (Paper-II: 247)
Electrical/Mechanical Engineering:
- Central Public Works Department (UR): 433.68 marks (Paper-II: 286)
- Military Engineering Services (UR): 421.76 marks (Paper-II: 273)
- Border Roads Organization (UR): 415.85 marks (Paper-II: 275)
Tie-Breaking Criteria:
In case of a tie in aggregate marks, the following methods were used sequentially:
- Higher marks in Paper-II.
- Older candidate based on date of birth.
- Alphabetical order of candidate names.
Document Verification (DV) and Further Process:
- Document Verification will be conducted by the respective User Departments/Organizations.
- Candidates who do not receive communication from the allocated department within six months must contact the concerned department.
- No reserve or waiting list has been prepared; unfilled vacancies will be carried forward to the subsequent recruitment year.
SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Final Result 2024 Important Notes:
- The final results of the following candidates have been withheld due to court orders: 2405200625, 2405200635, 3007400019, 4207100722, 4205103795, 4207100721, 4410103978.
- Final Answer Keys and marks of all candidates (shortlisted and not-shortlisted) will be uploaded on the SSC website shortly.
- Candidates scoring above the cut-off but not shortlisted can represent their case to the concerned SSC Regional Office within one month of result declaration.
