Inshort Informatin : The Indian Air Force (IAF) invites Indian citizens (men and women) to apply for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 01/2025 and NCC Special Entry for courses commencing in January 2026. This is your chance to serve as a Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer in the Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches.

The Indian Air Force: AFCAT 01/2025 and NCC Special Entry Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Indian (as per Citizenship Act, 1955)
- Age:
- Flying Branch: 20–24 years as of January 1, 2026 (born between January 2, 2002, and January 1, 2006). Upper age limit relaxable to 26 years for candidates with a valid DGCA-issued Commercial Pilot License.
- Ground Duty Branches: 20–26 years as of January 1, 2026 (born between January 2, 2000, and January 1, 2006).
- Marital Status: Candidates must be unmarried at the start of training. Marriage is not allowed during training.
- Educational Qualifications:
- Flying Branch: Minimum 50% in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and:
- Graduation (3 years) with 60%, or
- BE/B.Tech (4 years) with 60%, or
- Cleared Section A & B of AMIE or Aeronautical Society of India with 60%.
- Ground Duty (Technical): Minimum 50% in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and:
- BE/B.Tech in specified disciplines with 60%.
- Ground Duty (Non-Technical):
- Admin/Logistics: Graduation (3 years) with 60%.
- Accounts: Graduation in Commerce/Finance-related disciplines with 60%.
- Education: Post-graduation with 50% and Graduation with 60%.
- Meteorology: B.Sc. with Physics and Maths or equivalent Engineering degree with 60%.
- Flying Branch: Minimum 50% in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and:
Selection Process
- Online AFCAT Examination:
- Subjects: General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning.
- Duration: 2 hours
- Marking Scheme: +3 for correct, -1 for incorrect, and 0 for unattempted answers.
- Air Force Selection Board (AFSB):
- Stage I: Officer Intelligence Rating Test and Picture Perception Discussion Test.
- Stage II: Psychological Test, Group Tests, and Interview.
- Flying Branch candidates will undergo the Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS).

Compensation and Benefits
- Stipend during Training: ₹56,100/month
- Pay on Commissioning (Flying Officer): ₹56,100–₹1,77,500 + MSP ₹15,500
- Allowances: Flying, transport, technical, field area, and others based on duty and location.
- Insurance: ₹1.25 crore coverage on contribution.
- Privileges: Furnished accommodation, medical cover, LTC, subsidized loans, and 60 days annual leave.

- Fill in personal, educational, and communication details.
- Upload required documents (photo, signature, thumb impression).
- Pay the application fee of ₹550 + GST (not applicable for NCC Special Entry).
- Download the admit card when available.
